House in Kent

This new build house terraces down a hillside. The client wanted a modern home for their young family, but with traditional materials. The dark timber reflects the vernacular cladding of local barns. This unfussy building reflects traditional functional outbuildings. The clustering of forms mimic the historic pattern and development of existing adjacent buildings.
